Game Notes

Game 4: SU scored ME twice with domination and no US presence, plus OPEC to win a very localized Cold War.

Game 7: Ames found LG in the US hand. SU played Terrorism which guaranteed and eventual US DEFCON. But then US played ME and pulled D&C. Arranging for two DEFCONs in the same turn has to be some kind of record.

Game 9: SU experienced a Bear Trap that lasted 10 rounds: 2 misses – end of turn – US headlines Purge – 2 misses – 5 forced passes – ended on round 1 of following turn.

Game 10: On T3, US dominated Europe and Asia while SU drew both scoring cards. SU managed to trump Special Relationship with SocGov to flip domination and score Europe, then at turn’s end discarded Asia to 5YP – a net 20 point swing in scoring.

Game 14: US missed every space roll (7 or 8) on the way to victory.

Game 16: Accidental play of ABM as ops rather than event in an otherwise close game.

Game 17: On T7, SU drew Europe and CA before the reshuffle, then Africa and ME on the reshuffle. Then US headlined “Ask Not” to ditch 5 cards and pulled Asia and SA. All six card in hands simultaneously!!

Game 18: Played with the Turn Zero variant, which gave US advantages including 1st play each turn.

Game 19: US played Nuclear Subs as protection for playing LG, but that does not mitigate the coup by SU.
